Like most people, I do those chores that I enjoy most before those I find tedious. I found that I must regiment myself to a time (and setting) to do those chores I do not want to do, but that must get done. I admit I would much rather be out in my shop cutting wood than working on the computer, including working on this website. I believe part of the reason for this conflict lies in what I consider productive time. Making some kind of actual product is more productive time than punching keys on a computer (at least in my mind), so I chose working in the shop over working on the computer. The same concept (what each of use considers worthwhile use of our time) determines our daily routines, and sometimes at least part of our lives.
So I have rambled, and probably not written anything that most of you already know, but I got something off my mind (for now - I believe I will be thinking about this for a while). Perhaps these are just excuses for me not doing what I know I should be doing, or maybe after all these years I am just now starting to figure out a few things in my life. Let's see how I do in the future.
